Tata Motors delivers Tata Tigor EVs to Ministry of AYUSH

Tata Motors is partnering with the AYUSH Ministry to deploy Tigor Electric Vehicles in Delhi. As a part of its tender for 10,000 electric sedans with EESL which the automaker handed over the first batch of Tigor EVs to AYUSH Ministry. However the number of cars in this batch is not specified in the Press Release.

Tigor EV has a range of 140 km & 213 km and according to the company has a market share of 62% in EVs in Q1 FY21. The EVs were handed over to Shri P.N. Ranjit Kumar, Joint Secretary of ministry, by Mr. Raj Kumar Luthra, General Manager at EESL.

The automaker also rolled out the 1000th Nexon EV from its Pune plant. This landmark has been achieved in just over 6-months after the commercial launch of the vehicle, the company announced.

Tata Motors is closely working with other Tata Group companies including Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Autocomp, Tata Motors Finance and Croma, to create an e-mobility ecosystem, “Tata uniEVerse”.
