Uber partners with Lithium Urban Technologies
Uber has announced partnership with Lithium Urban Technologies, one of India’s largest electric vehicle fleet operators. The association will deploy over 1,000 electric vehicles, all sedans, across Uber Rentals and Premier in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune over the coming months.
With this partnership Uber aims to leverage Lithium’s charging hubs in these cities that have the capacity to charge multiple cars and buses simultaneously. They also have fast and slow chargers installed at multiple sites across these cities. While a fast charger can charge a sedan in 90 minutes, a slow charger can do that in 8 to 9 hours.
This is company’s fourth partnership after Yulu, Mahindra and SUN Mobility.Uber has already deployed more than 100 of these electric sedans, such as Mahindra eVerito and Tata Tigor EV, on its platform. The company has recently announced global commitment to make all rides on our platform 100% emission-free by 2040.
Partnership between Ampere Electric and Bounce
Ampere Electric, a wholly-owned electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton known for its E Scooters, has announced partnership bike rental platform Bounce. The company will be customising the scooters for Bounce making it more accessible and convenient for consumers to make a transition towards sustainable mobility solutions.
The companies believe that the move will enable faster adoption of electric scooters and provide sustainable and affordable last-mile connectivity and superior customer experience. Ampere had also recently announced partnership with OTO Capital and Autovert Technologies to offer unique and innovative financing options.
Mahindra Treo crosses the 5,000 units sales
Mahindra Group, has announced that its lithium-ion battery-powered electric 3-wheeler range, the Mahindra Treo, has crossed the 5,000 units sales milestone in India. Treo is new range of electric three wheelers powered by the most advanced Lithium-ion technology. According to the company the three wheeler offers increased savings, superior ride quality and best-in-class comfort for drivers and passengers, along with zero emission technology.
