EV Motors and Hero Electric have entered into a partnership to encourage e-mobility and solve three important issues faced by the EV Industry namely range anxiety, battery replacement costs and the high acquisition price.
Under the partnership, EV Motors will offer advanced battery solutions and charging infrastructure integrated with Hero Electric vehicles. Together, the companies will run a pilot of around 10,000 e-bikes in few cities in next 12 months.
The last mile delivery operators, including e-commerce, online food, fleet operators and courier delivery businesses will be the segment the two companies will be focusing on initially. Based on the results of this pilot project the companies will decide when and how to launch it nationwide.
Electric vehicles startup EV Motors has set up Public EV Charging Outlet ‘PlugNgo’ in partnership with DLF, Delta Electronics India and ABB India. The batteries integrated with Hero E bikes by EV Motors will be supercharged in these rapid charging stations in less than 30 minutes so that they can travel 130 km to 140 km without any issue.
The plan is to bring down the maintenance, running costs, hence improving business economics parameters and making owning and operating EVs profitable.
