Eye-Net is working on a pilot project with a Japanese tech company

Eye-Net Mobile will be working on a pilot project with a Japanese technology company to test its  cellular-based V2X accident prevention solution, Eye-Net Protect. The announcement was made by Foresight Autonomous Holdings, an automotive vision systems company, of which Eye-Net is a wholly owned subsidiary. However, the name of the technology company has not been revealed.

Purpose of the project

The pilot project will be used to validate the solution capabilities and its technical specifications. Upon successful completion, the Japanese technology company may proceed to commercial integration of the Eye-Net solution into its IoT platform.

Eye-Net Protect V2X solution

The Eye-Net solution is a software-based platform that uses smartphone applications and cellular infrastructures to identify and predict potential traffic collisions. It uses “advanced algorithms” and “cutting-edge” server architecture to provide real time alerts for each of the road users involved.

It connects all road users’ phones and infrastructure to become a V2X network providing real-time alerts. It uses state of the art big data, machine learning, and AI technology to analyze both driver behavior and road safety trends and insights

The Eye-Net Protect V2X solution is designed to protect the vulnerable road users in real time – including pedestrians, cyclists, scooter drivers and car drivers – by providing collision alerts when the road users have no direct line of sight.

An SDK configuration allows Eye-Net Mobile to integrate its solution with leading location-based products such as wearable devices, dashboard cameras, navigation aids, infotainment systems, third-party applications and other smart devices.
